This was the first time I submitted work to the Portrait Awards and so I didn’t know what to expect. I thought it would be an incredible opportunity to see where my work fits in among professional photographers in various genres and all over the world. The competition is recognized for it’s high standards – in fact, I think it is setting standards for the industry. With enough high quality work, photographers can achieve certain levels of mastery and be recognized by their clients accredited for their clients. Let’s give it a go, I said. Imagine my joy when all of my images won Bronze awards!
